Frequently Asked questions
Are your pageants Glitz or Natural?
We are a Natural Pageant system that does not allow GLITZ Pageant Dresses. You may wear a floor length pageant dress with some small beads, stones, sequins etc. flower girl dresses, Cinderella dress Sunday best etc.
We also discourage anything more than light makeup such as lip gloss and a little blush on the younger girls.
Your photogenic photos cannot be professionally retouched. Remember, our judges always look for age-appropriateness.
Do I have to participate in the Photogenic competition?
Yes! This is already included in the price of the pageant. Each contestant will send one 4x6 or 5x7 picture of your choice, this picture will be used for photogenic and the program book. ( you will get your photo back the day of the pageant )
What is Sportswear
We will provide you with a Little Miss Tennessee t-shirt and you will be responsible for getting your own black shorts, skirt, skort etc. This is part of the competition where you can express your personality with props, such as sunglasses, hats, jackets, pom-poms soccer ball, bat etc.
What will be first the dress competition or sportswear?
The sportswear will be first and then you will compete in your dress so that you can be crowned and awarded in your dresses!
What is the Program Book about?
This is an exciting way to learn more about your pageant buddies and to remember your new friends for years to come as well give your sponsors something for their money, they can advertise a business, send a good luck wish or you can put additional photos of yourself in these spots purchased, we believe it's a classy touch to the pageant!
Do we have to participate in the Program Book?
Yes! Each contestant will have their own page in the book, with a picture and little detail about them, normally the information the emcee tells about the contestant.
Do I have to compete in a Preliminary Pageant to compete a the State Competition?
NO! You do not have to compete in a prelim, you can claim your local title at anytime during the year and receive a crown and banner to represent your area.
What is a Local Title?
A local title is the name of the City or County that you live in, you can receive a banner with the name of your area and a Crown to promote your Title all year long! This is included in your State Entry Fee!
Can I get my score sheets back?
Of course! We will not have them ready for you immediately following the pageant, although we will be glad to mail them to you, the next following business day!
If I win, can I compete again?
No! We ask that you return to crown your successor, but you may compete again the following year! (all age divisions)
If I win, what are my requirements?
We would like you to make at least 3 appearance through the year, such as Riding in your local Christmas Parade, visiting your Governor and Mayor. You must return to Crown your successor. Anything that you feel you would like to do with your New State Title that is responsible and appropriate! (Please take photos they will appear in the Program Book the following year)
